Status of Vitamin D Nutrition among Students and the Necessity of Nutrition Health Education in Higher Vocational Colleges

Vitamin D is a fat-soluble vitamin. Vitamin D in the human body is obtained mainly through two sources,
namely, self-synthesis and ingestion from food or supplements. Among the many factors that affect human
growth, the effect of nutrition is most obvious. College students have poor self-control capabilities, develop
poor diet and hygiene habits, and lack of nutritional knowledge to properly select and match foods, which can
easily lead to problems such as irrational diets and imbalanced nutrients. This article investigates college
students' cognitive level of vitamin D, and understands their level of knowledge about vitamin D and their
intake. The results show that college students lack a sufficient knowledge of vitamin D; college students have
insufficient intake of vitamin D and insufficient sun exposure, especially for girls; they are not aware of the
results caused by excessive intake and lack of vitamin D Full; understand its physiological role in promoting
calcium absorption. For college students, train and teach related knowledge through the media to increase
students' knowledge of vitamin D.
