Abstract

Dietary fat has long been implicated in the aetiology of cardiovascular disease. The majority of research into the role of dietary fat in cardiovascular disease has focused on the effects of dietary fats on lipoprotein metabolism, due to the well-characterised association between blood cholesterol levels and cardiovascular mortality.
