Abstract

The impact of trans-fatty acids (trans-FA) on blood lipids and the subsequent increase in risk of Coronary heart disease has been extensively described. However, their impact on cancer risk has received less attention. This paper reports the main findings regarding the evidence for a link between trans-fatty acid consumption and cancer.
